Raisio - Town I grew up in
This small town is located right next to probably the most famous Finnish city after the capital of Helsinki, Turku. When I grew up there is was known as the Finlands biggest intersection. It's really easy to get anywhere around the country if you started from Raisio. It still is. Now this bustling little town has started growing in wealth as big markets from Turku began surrounding the great roads of Raisio. The new IKEA is attracting people from all around. Car shops are plentyful and furnitures can be easily found in Raisio. The old city centre has also been developed and many university students from Turku have found a good place to live by the road at the centre of Raisio, right next to the bus connection. For growing little kids Raisio is definitely a safe bet. All needed services are close, plenty of schools right next door and it still has that small town touch to it. |
